Other ID: COST WELL NO. B-3
Organization(s): USGS, Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center
Principal Investigator(s): Claude (Wylie) Poag
Affiliate Investigator(s): William Patterson
Data Type(s): Sampling: Geology
Scientific Purpose/Goals: Resource exploration well drilled by a consortium of oil companies on the New Jersey offshore continental slope. Continental Offshore Stratigraphic Test No. B-3 well (COST B-3) was drilled by the BEN OCEAN LANCER, a dynamically positioned drill ship operated by Chevron USA. Lease block would be made available upon completion of well.
