Data Type(s): Geochemical: Experiments, Imagery: Photo, Imagery: Video, Location-Elevation: Navigation
Scientific Purpose/Goals: On May 2, deployed 2 benthic chambers. On May 8 the chambers were recovered. Six diver push cores were collected.
Start Date: 2002-05-02
Start Port/Location: Hingham Harbor, MA
End Date: 2002-05-08
End Port/Location: Hingham Harbor, MA
Equipment Used: Benthic Chambers, Video camera - deep sea, Digital camera, GPS (wh)
Information to be Derived: Samples and chemical analysis; Morphology;
Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Chambers deployed and recovered. Cores taken. Both chambers came up using release. Used blue vent plugs on core caps for first time: they worked well.
