During the mapping mission an Applanix POS MV (Position and Orientation System for Marine Vessels) was used to accurately position the vessel during data collection and it also accounted for vessel motion such as heave, pitch, and roll. The POS MV also recorded position and vessel motion parameters for later post-processing. Sound-velocity profiles were collected throughout the survey days with an Applied Microsystems (AM) SVPlus sound velocimeter. The Reson 7111 acoustic-backscatter data were processed using SonarWiz software. The software normalizes for time-varying signal loss and beam directivity differences. The resulting imagery was exported as an Imagine image and imported into a GIS and converted to a grid. The grid was then projected from WGS84 to NAD83 using the WGS84_1984_(ITRF08)_to_NAD_1983_2011 tool in ESRI ArcTools. The grid was then exported to a TIFF image in UTM-10, NAD83 coordinates.
