Hourly Observations of TriSCAN Probe Data from January to August 2023
On January 25, 2023, a set of five Sentek® TriSCAN® (moisture content, salinity, and temperature) probes were placed in a cross-shore array along a dune at Madeira Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The probes extended down 0.90 meters (m) below the surface (referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 [NAVD88]) and contained 9 sensors each, at depths of 5 – 85 centimeters (10 cm spacing). The sensors collected hourly observations of the volumetric moisture content, volumetric ion content ... |

Standard deviation of the bathymetric DEM of the Sacramento River, from the Feather River to Knights Landing, California in February 2011
This part of the data release contains a grid of standard deviations of bathymetric soundings within each 0.5 m x 0.5 m grid cell. The bathymetry was collected on February 1, 2011, in the Sacramento River from the confluence of the Feather River to Knights Landing. The standard deviations represent one component of bathymetric uncertainty in the final digital elevation model (DEM), which is also available in this data release. The bathymetry data were collected by the USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine ... |

Acoustic Backscatter of the Sacramento River, from the Feather River to Knights Landing, California in February 2011
This part of the data release presents acoustic backscatter data collected on February 1, 2011, in the Sacramento River from the confluence of the Feather River to Knights Landing. The data were collected by the USGS Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) team with collaboration and funding from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. This project used interferometric sidescan sonar to characterize the riverbed and channel banks along a 12 mile reach of the Sacramento River, California (River Mile 79 ... |

Five Minute Frequency Meteorological Observations from January to August 2023
A meteorological station was placed on the roof (approximately 18 meters [m] in elevation, referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 [NAVD88]) of the Shoreline Island Resort (27.796210, -82.796080) at Madeira Beach, Florida to collect wind, pressure, temperature, humidity, and rainfall data. The data file included in this data release contains the measurements, with a five-minute sampling interval, for the period January 25, 2023, to August 30, 2023. |

Radar Time Series Measurements Collected at Duck, North Carolina – End of Pier (x = 600 meters)
An oceanographic radar sensor was deployed on August 18, 2022, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Field Research Facility (FRF) in Duck, North Carolina, at the end of the FRF research pier. The location in local FRF cross-shore (x) and alongshore (y) coordinates are x = 600 meters (m) and y = 524 m. This dataset provides 1) 5 hertz (Hz) time series data of distance measurements (in meters), relative to the radar sensor, and associated water level elevations (in meters), referenced to the North ... |

Radar Time Series Measurements Collected at Duck, North Carolina – Middle of Pier (x = 300 meters)
An oceanographic radar sensor was deployed from January 18 to April 23, 2024, at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Field Research Facility (FRF) in Duck, North Carolina, at the middle of the FRF research pier. The location in local FRF cross-shore (x) and alongshore (y) coordinates is x = 300 meters (m) and y = 524 m. This dataset provides 1) 5 hertz (Hz) time series data of distance measurements (in meters), relative to the radar sensor, and associated water level elevations (in meters), referenced ... |
