Positions from the POS MV IANS were recorded and written to the seismic trace headers every 0.20 seconds. The approximately 3-meter offset between the chirp and vessel's IANS reference point has not been accounted for in the comma-delimited American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) navigation files and trackline map.
