Test locations in Japan (168 sites) and Taiwan (14 sites) visited in 2001-2002 and profiled by the Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves (SASW) method. Many of the liquefaction sites in Tohoku and Hokkaido regions have been affected by as 2 or 3 damaging events in the last 40 years. Kobe is located in the southwest Kansai region of Japan.
