The EPIC files stored on CMGDS are the canonical files and should NEVER be deleted.  Auxiliary files are stored on WHOI Geoport; however, these files have been converted to the CF convention and do not necessarily include all of the variables in the original EPIC file due to issues converting burst data with a 2-dimensional EPIC time to a 1-dimensional CF time.
