Scientific Purpose/Goals: To conduct a multichannel seismic reflection survey from the northeastern section of Georges Bank, Georges Shoals area, continuing NNE through the Gulf of Maine to the approach of Penobscot Bay as part of the Deep Crustal Studies program. Work to be performed by Geophysical Service Inc. aboard the M/V POLAR PRINCE.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: CDP multichannel seismic reflection lines 1 and 1A were shot from the northeastern section of Georges Bank in Georges Shoals area and continued NNE to the approach of Penobscot Bay; 221 km, 4420 shot points.
