Scientific Purpose/Goals: The purpose of the cruise was to make detailed surveys of possible sites for shallow drilling on the outer continental shelf. The areas covered were the northern and southern edges of Georges Bank; Physalis, Mytilus and Bear Seamounts; and lines in transit to and from these areas.
