End Port/Location: Woods Hole, MA

Start Date: 1987-07-25

End Date: 1987-07-31

Equipment Used: Video camera - deep sea, Camera- deep sea, Grab sampler, Loran-C, Submersible Observation

Information to be Derived: Grain size analysis;

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: This was a NOAA/NMFS cruise using the Delta submersible which conducted 32 dives and collected video and photo imagery. All imagery archived at NMFS Northeast Science Center, Woods Hole, MA; total amount of imagery unknown to me. Copies of dive logs (69 pages) and cruise log (7 pages) archived at USGS, Woods Hole. Sediment sample analyses with metadata archived in database at USGS, Woods Hole and published in usSEABED: Atlantic Coast offshore surficial sediment data release, version 1.0; US Geological Survey Data Series 118, 2005. 8 sediment samples collected with Smith-McIntyre grab sampler; texture analysis performed at USGS Woods Hole in 1987; lab sample nos. are AE940-947.
