Information to be Derived:

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Phil Molzer recently returned from a week of gravity surveying on and around the Delmarva peninsula, VA. Data was collected to improve the resolution of the gravity signature associated with the Chesapeake Bay bolide impact structure. Visit Wylie Poag's site to learn more about this project. The data set will be used for modeling crustal density in the area, assisting the processing of several nearby seismic profiles. The gravity meter and an Ashtech VII GPS receiver were hauled across the shallow waters seaward of the peninsula in an 18 ft. scow to numerous mud banks, etc.
