Scientific Purpose/Goals: Establish a geologic framework and baseline from which to examine future changes offshore San Diego caused by wave erosion and transport associated with the predicted El Nino and examine downslope funneling and capture of sediment by the two canyon heads (Scripps and Rose Canyons).
