Status: Completed

Organization(s): USGS, Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center

Funding Program(s):

Principal Investigator(s): David Twichell

Affiliate Investigator(s): Robert Halley, USGS, St. Pete; Al Hine - USF

Information Specialist(s): Dann Blackwood, Robert Halley

Data Type(s): Biological Field Study: Experiments (biological), Biological Field Study: Surveys (biological), Environmental Data: CTD, Imagery: Photo, Imagery: Video, Location-Elevation: Navigation, Sampling: Biology, Sampling: Geology, Seismics: Boomer, Visual Identification: Species ID, Environmental Data: CO2, Sonar: Multibeam

Scientific Purpose/Goals: Map and image deep water reef communities in the Pulley Ridge area of the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Multibeam mapping and Chirp high-resolution seismic profiling will be conducted using USF equipment. The USGS SEABOSS system will be used to obtain high-resolution images of these reef communities.
