Status: Completed

Organization(s): USGS, Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center

Funding Program(s):

Principal Investigator(s): Adrian Green

Affiliate Investigator(s):

Information Specialist(s): John Crusius

Data Type(s): Environmental Data: Radon, Geochemical: Surveys (geochemical), Location-Elevation: Navigation

Scientific Purpose/Goals: Collection of shallow groundwater and surface water samples for analysis of nutrients and dissolved greenhouse gases. Chamber measurements of greenhouse gases.

Vehicle(s):

Start Port/Location: West Falmouth Harbor, MA

End Port/Location: West Falmouth Harbor, MA

Start Date: 2008-09-08

End Date: 2008-09-10

Equipment Used: GPS (wh), RAD7 radon detection instrument, Submersible pumps

Information to be Derived:

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Groundwater sampling of cluster wells in W. Falmouth Harbor. Measured and recorded geochemical parameters (ph, temperature, conductivity, salinity, dissolved oxygen, ORP), collected gas and water samples for greenhouse gas analysis (analyzed upon return) and water samples for nutrient analysis (stored in freezer for later analysis).
