Information to be Derived: variations in microbiomes of O. franksi corals at different depths

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: The data in this release are the raw 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA) gene amplicon deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) sequence files from 15 samples of top-facing mesophotic coral Orbicella franksi acquired from the US Virgin Islands, along with sequence files for an extraction blank and reagent control to identify any outside contaminants. Samples were collected in December 2014 from three locations of varying depth (Hind Bank, South Cappella, and Savana).
