Data Type(s): Location-Elevation: Navigation, Sampling: Biology, Sampling: Geology

Scientific Purpose/Goals: Characterize sediment grain size and eelgrass characteristics.

Vehicle(s): None

Start Port/Location: Fay Bainbridge Park, Bainbridge Island, WA

End Port/Location: Fay Bainbridge Park, Bainbridge Island, WA

Start Date: 2014-06-12

End Date: 2014-06-16

Equipment Used: Hand-grab sample, Handheld GPS

Information to be Derived: Sediment grain size and eelgrass shoot density, canopy height, habitat area, biomass.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Three shore-normal vegetation surveys along transects occupied in 2013 on the northeast shore; two shore-parallel surveys at transects occupied in 2013 on the northwest shore. Twelve surface sediment samples (3 per transect) for grain-size analysis.
