Information to be Derived: Microbial functional gene sequences, correlations to environmental parameters.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Collected and filtered 10L each of benthic water at two sites (coral/OCS and seagrass) for 3 sequential days at roughly noon. Plated for vibrio counts. Flash froze sterivex filters for metagenomic analysis and small water samples for bacterial and viral direct counts. Froze water for nutrient analysis.
