Start Port/Location: Wells, ME

End Port/Location: Wells, ME

Start Date: 2018-09-25

End Date: 2018-09-25

Equipment Used: 3DR Solo factory, Ricoh GR II, Aeropoint targets

Information to be Derived: Aerial imagery

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: The Alliance for Coastal Technologies (ACT), and NERACOOS sponsored a workshop addressing the practical uses of UASs in coastal management situations, hosted at the National Estuarine Research Reserve in Wells, ME. The WHCMSC AIM team was asked to demonstrate our flight protocols and data processing workflow. UAS imagery was collected by the Ricoh GRII of the NERR campus to create elevation models from photogrammetric techniques. 384 Ricoh GRII photos (2.2 GB) were collected and 5 ground control targets (aeropoints).

Notes: In 2020 Sandy requested a retroactive FA with the following information: was by myself in Wells ME on September 25th, 2018. I used the aeropoints and collected imagery from our UAS with a point and shoot- ricoh camera. I collected 3 flights, 11.48GB of images. Project OGU14 was charged for these expenses. I thought I was just demonstrating the flight process, but they wanted a dataset while I was there.
