End Port/Location:

Start Date: 1975-08-13

End Date: 1975-08-17

Equipment Used: boxcore, currentmeter, underwatercamera

Information to be Derived: Sedimentation patterns, currents, benthic faunal types.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Four Alvin dives into the lower Hudson Canyon were made as part of a Woods Hole program sponsored by the Office of Naval Research. Data was obtained on sedimentation patterns, currents, and benthic faunal types and activities at water depths between 2,800 and 3,400 m.
