Scientific Purpose/Goals: Re-profile beach profiles that were initially established in the early 1960s and establish new profile baselines for monitoring and quantification of shoreline changes during the passage of extreme events. The profile data will also be used to quantify results of historical shoreline changes using aerial photographs.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: 27 coastal sites on Oahu were examined. Data collected included: 39 beach profiles, 15 offshore fathometer profiles, and 97 surface sediment samples.
