Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Collected hydrocarbon samples at: 1) abandoned? Katalla Oilfield; 2) Port Etches, Ellamar, 3) airport runways at Cordova (main airport and small strip near town) and at Palmer. 4) also obtained splits of samples collected by AK Dept of Envir. Conserv. from 3 beaches in PWS (Ellrington, Ingot, and Eleanor Islands). Interviewed experienced PWS charter boat skipper about potential sites (canneries, mines, hatcheries, and fox farms) of hydrocarbon useage in PWS to aid in planning Sept.95 piggyback cruise on NOAA ship Rainier in PWS.
