Information Specialist(s):

Data Type(s): Location-Elevation: Navigation, Seismics: Boomer, Seismics: Multichannel, Sonar: Sidescan, Sonar: Single Beam

Vehicle(s):

Start Port/Location:

End Port/Location:

Start Date: 1997-11-03

End Date: 1997-11-07

Equipment Used: Kleinsidescan, Geopulse, GPS, 2channelairgun, bathymetry

Information to be Derived: Location of rock outcrops on the nearshore sea-floor, variations in sediment texture in the nearshore, and structure of the subbottom that show folding and faulting in the subbottom stratigraphy.

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Ran shore parallel high-resolution tracklines between Capitola and Moss Landing to fill in and area with no data. This data set will add data to the side-scan mosaic that is being produced.
