Field Activity 1985-033-FA

Identifier 1985-033-FA
Purpose Recovered Ocean Bottom Magnetometer previously deployed (31 July, 1985).
Location Depoe Bay, Oregon, United States, North America, North Pacific;
Summary As the result of the ship's generator failure, we discovered that the Benthos recovery gear will operate on 12V DC (normal voltage required is 28V DC). Since the audio circuits would not function at 12 volts, this mode of operation is not recommended.
