Two one-day trips were conducted to recover sediment cores using a modified USGS gravity corer and a slide hammer corer. Two sediment traps were deployed near depressions in the reef platform. Scientific objective is to assess the impact of soil erosion from Molokai on the health of the adjacent coral reef.

Summary
SCUBA diving was under the direction of the Menlo Park Dive Team. Sediment traps were deployed in <2 m water near the USGS tripod off Hotel Molokai. Other sediment traps were deployed by the west coast team after Feb. 1 along CRAMP transects.
