Field Activity 2009-035-FA

Identifier 2009-035-FA
Alternate names G-35-09-FL
Purpose High-resolution seismics, surface sediment sampling, and vibracoring.
Location Apalachicola Bay, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, United States, North America, North Atlantic;
Summary The cruise was divided into two parts. Chirp seismic profiles were collected on the inner shelf offshore of Apalachicola Bay during July 8-10. Seismic data were collected along approximately 93 km of tracklines. Vibracores and surface sediment samples were collected in the bay and offshore of the bay during July 11-12. Vibracores were collected at 10 stations and surface sediment samples were collected at 8 of these stations and four additional ones where vibracores were not taken.
