Field Activity 2016-022-FA

Identifier 2016-022-FA
Purpose set waverider buoy, recover bottom lander
Location Cape Cod Bay
Summary Deployed a wave rider buoy at 41-50.3829N, 070-19.7274W, recovered a bottom lander from 41-46.387N, 070-28.548W (nanopod).
Info derived From buoy, time series of wave statistics From bottom lander, times eries of wave statistics, temperature, salinity, turbidity, pressure
Comments For navigation: We took one mark when the anchor for the wavebuoy was dropped, recorded by the Captain using the ship’s GPS. We went to where the nanopod was deployed in February and the float surfaced when the acoustic release was triggered, thus the location was determined to be the same as when deployed.
