Field Activity 01SCC01

Identifier 01SCC01
Alternate names G-4-01-LA
Purpose Characterize near surface geology, as it relates to sediment inventory
Location Timbalier Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, East Timbalier Island, LA, Louisiana
Summary Marine seismic reflection data (45 boomer and 42 CHIRP lines) and vibracores were collected during cruise 01SCC01 to image and map sedimentary and structural features of the seafloor and subsurface. These data were collected in collaboration with the University of New Orleans, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, and the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources.
