Purpose Collect 40-ft. long continuous vibracores at sites selected from high-resolution seismic profiles collected in a survey in June 1987. Interpretation of the cores and seismic profiles will be used to determine the stratigraphy and structure of the shallow sub-bottom of the region. Long-term purpose of program is to locate and identify potential offshore sand borrow areas for beach replenishment projects.
