Purpose Acquisition of surficial sediment samples to verify NPTN92-1 (FA 92006) sidescan sonar interpretations. Reconnaissance of geologic framework and surficial sediment textures at selected sites using Osprey underwater video camera and VCR.

Summary Of the proposed 75 sampling stations, 61 were occupied. Samples were recovered from 59 of those stations. Bottom video was obtained at 18 of these sites. All video was stored on 2 8-mm data tapes.
