Field Activity 2000-071-FA

Identifier 2000-071-FA
Alternate names IB T-71-00-CT
Purpose Install/recover instrument package.
Location Connecticut River, Deerfield River, Turners Falls, Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States, North America, North Atlantic;
Summary After two radial searches at each of two sites in the river, we determined that the instrument was probably buried by the mega sand waves that were encountered. These were about 4-6 ft. in height and approximately 8-10 ft. crest to crest. Extremely high flow velocities had been recorded for the river during late spring/early summer.
