Summary
This activity is part of an Interlaboratory Comparison Project designed to compare wave speed measurements made in different laboratories, but on identical samples. Data include waveforms measured with shear-wave transducers on dry sand, water-damp sand, fully water-saturated sand, frozen sand, and hydrate-bearing sand. Results are combined with those from 7 other laboratories in an excel spreadsheet and analyzed in a paper presented at the 7th International Conference on Gas Hydrates (July 17-21, 2011, Edinburgh, Scotland).
