Turnaround already deployed instruments to collect time series data to make evaluations of sediment transport, water quality, geomorphic change, circulation, and wetland stability. This will support development of models of storm impacts on estuarine health, vulnerability of adjacent communities, and sustainability of restored and natural wetlands.
Equipment or personnel only. Data, if any, are managed under a different field activity.
Location
Chincoteague Bay, Virginia, United States, Chincoteague Bay, Maryland, United States
Summary
Recovered all deployed instruments and downloaded data from first segment of deployment. Evaluated instrument performance and conducted calibration checks on water quality sensors. Replaced sensors as required. Installed new batteries (if needed) and redeployed instruments for next data segment. Collected water samples for instrument calibrations.
Info derived
Currents, waves, water level, water temperature, salinity, turbidity, Chla-fluoroscence, fDom, pH, bed altitude change, suspended sediment concentration.
