Field Activity 2014-659-FA

Identifier 2014-659-FA
Purpose Examine delta nearshore habitat structure, facies, sediment transport, and benthic invertebrate community composition relative to sediment disturbance
Location Nooksack River-Delta, Washington
Summary 47 shallow (10-cm or 2-cm surface) cores for sediment particle size, carbon, benthic invertebrate biomass and community structure analyses. Six pore-water measurements made in 0.5m deep pits in tidal flats and two freshwater property measurements made in nearby distributary channels.
Info derived sediment particle size; carbon content; benthic invertebrate community composition; pore water properties
