| Purpose |
To collect 2026 pre-hurricane season bathymetry for Midnight Pass and Milton Pass that were created by the 2024 storms Helene and Milton. Updated bathymetry is needed to support annual monitoring efforts of the geomorphological changes in the pass and track sediment distribution patterns. The R/V G. Hill will be support vessel to the PWCs. |

Funding account is Hurricane Ian Supplemental and the account to use is GX23MN00V02FL26. R/V Scooby and R/V Shaggy are the new PWCs that are planned to be used for this survey. That information will be added to Compass as soon as they come on-line. For now, R/V Shark and R/V Chum are stand-ins. Entries for this field activity are based on entries from Field Activity 2025-313-FA. |

| 22-ft Twin Vee (R/V G. Hill) This boat has a carrying capacity of up to 1500 pounds and up to 7 people and a shallow draft (9 inches empty). This boat's cat hull design results in a smoother ride in choppy water, at the expense of a slightly deeper draft. This boat is powered by two Yamaha 70hp motors.
