Field Activity 1987-020-FA

Identifier 1987-020-FA
Purpose To recover three surface buoys with current meters at three location in Massachusetts Bay. The instruments were deployed as part of a study of currents and sediment transport in western Massachusetts Bay, and were deployed in February on the R/V OCEANUS.
Location Massachusetts Bay, Massachusetts, United States, North America, North Atlantic,
Summary The buoys and current meter moorings were recovered without incident. The instruments were unfouled. The Coast Guard buoy tender was extremely efficient at recovery. Surface salinity samples: 16. Moorings recovered: 3 (#320, 321 and 322, deployed FA 87005 OCEANUS Feb. 7, 1987).
