Field Activity H194HW

Identifier H194HW
Alternate names H-1-94-HW,H1-HI94
Purpose Re-profile beach profiles that were initially established in the early 1960s and establish new profile baselines for monitoring and quantification of shoreline changes during the passage of extreme events. The profile data will also be used to quantify results of historical shoreline changes using aerial photographs.
Description Chief Scientists: Bruce Richmond, Chip Fletcher. Geological and Geophysical data (geodimeter, bathymetry) of field activity H-1-94-HW in Oahu, Hawaii from 08/02/1994 to 08/22/1994
Location Hawaii
Summary 27 coastal sites on Oahu were examined. Data collected included: 39 beach profiles, 15 offshore fathometer profiles, and 97 surface sediment samples.
