Test interaction of acoustic instruments, test interaction of instruments with tripod, test various sampling schemes, collect previously uncollected data off Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. National Community Sediment Transport Model.
Description
United States Geological Survey, Menlo Park, California. Chief Scientist: Chris Sherwood. Tripod Redeployment data (acousticbackscatter, ADVF, PCADP, pressuresensor, opticalbackscattersensor, sizedistributionsensor, vectorADV, VanVeengrab) of field activity M-P1-01-MB in Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf, Santa Cruz, Ca from 01/22/2001 to 01/25/2001
Location
Ca
Summary
The tripod that is to be used in the spring 2001 Grays Harbor wave refraction experiment was outfitted with groups of instruments and lowered off the side of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf into the water and data were collected. after a few sampling periods the tripod was retrieved, data were downloaded and evaluated, sampling schemes were altered and instruments changed out and the tripod was deployed again. Ten sampling schemes/ instrument groupings were tested. Data were collected for longer time periods overnight. grab samples were taken for instrument calibration and to determine grain size.
