Purpose The overall program long-term goal of STRATAFORM is to advance our understanding of the development of stratigraphic units and sequences on continental shelves and upper continental slopes. In this specific project we will obtain high quality measurements of sediment transport in the benthic boundary layer during energetic storms and during periods of high sediment input from coastal rivers (floods) for use in developing and testing models which predict the emplacement and modifications to discrete depositional units.
