| Description | As part of the USGS's California State Waters Mapping Project, sediment thickness for the seafloor within the 3-nautical mile limit between Gaviota and Hueneme Canyon was extracted from seismic-reflection data collected in 2007 (USGS activity (Z-3-07-SC) and 2008 (S-7-08-SC). Sediment thickness ranges from 0 to 65 m with a mean of 12 m and a standard deviation of 15 m. |
