Return to the Boulder Reef Perspective Views
Oblique view of Boulder Reef looking northwest. The relatively steep slopes of the southern end of the ridge and the different rough morphologic character of the cobble and gravel substrate fill the foreground. A small depositional apron of sand (B) seen in underwater video collected at this site is forming off the southeast part of the reef. The vertical exaggeration is 4x and the distance across the bottom of the image is about 3.5 km.
