Scientific Purpose/Goals: Geologic mapping of sea floor (geophysics only).

Start Port/Location: Woods Hole, MA

End Port/Location: Woods Hole, MA

Start Date: 2007-07-23

End Date: 2007-08-08

Equipment Used: SEA SWATHplus-M 234 kHz, Edgetech chirp subbottom profiler 512i, Real Time Kinematic GPS, SEA SWATHplus-L 117 kHz, Klein 3000

Information to be Derived: Sea floor map; Bathymetric maps;

Summary of Activity and Data Gathered: Survey collected 100% coverage with swath bathymetry over an area of approx. 350 km2 in northern Cape Cod Bay. Approx. 1300 line km of sidescan sonar and sub-bottom profiles were also collected. Preliminary data processing took place during survey.
