08SWL02Marimatech Echosounder
The Marimatech Echosounder is a single-beam acoustic depth measurement instrument used in hydrographic and coastal surveys to determine water depth beneath a vessel. It operates on the principle of echo sounding, which involves sending a sound pulse downward through the water and measuring the time it takes for the echo to return from the seabed. This time is converted into depth using the known speed of sound in water (approximately 1500 m/s). Frequency Range: Typically between 50 kHz and 200 kHz for hydrographic applications.
