Dataset description: Vibracore photographs, computed tomography scans, and core-log descriptions from Pololu Valley, Island of Hawaii

This portion of the data release contains information on vibracores that were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in Pololu Valley, Island of Hawai'i in 2014. Five sites were cored in order to describe wetland stratigraphy and to identify potential tsunami deposits. These vibracores contain mud, peat, fluvial sands, and marine volcanic sands, reflecting deposition in a variety of coastal environments.
