August - October 1998 Faunal Survey in Closed Area II, Central Georges Bank
During the months of August-October, 1998, the National Marine Fisheries Service and the New England scallop industry conducted a cooperative survey of Closed Area II to assess the sea scallop population after 3.5 years of closure to all fishing. The area was closed in December 1994 to conserve fish stocks.
