This portion of the data release contains grain size and total carbon analysis of sediment subsamples from push cores and gravity cores collected from the Escanaba Trough vent field, Gorda Ridge, in the northeast Pacific Ocean. These data were collected in 2022 (USGS Field Activity 2022-621-FA). Data include location information (latitude, longitude, depth), and the weight percent of 65 phi bins, four size fractions (gravel, sand, silt, clay), total carbon, inorganic carbon, organic carbon, and calcium carbonate.
