This CD-ROM contains copies of the navigation and field sidescan sonar data collected during USGS Cruise 96005, conducted during 1 -14 June, 1996. The cruise was a collaborative field program between researchers at Coastal Carolina University and the USGS, Coastal and Marine Geology Program, Woods Hole Field Center. This bathymetry contour data is in ESRI shapefile format and was derived from a National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) ETOPO2 data set. An ESRI ArcView extension, Spatial Analyst, was used to create 500m intervals from a database of grid files (2-minute latitude - longitude resolution).
